1. How much of the Sex, Life, & Hannah chick lit series is based on your personal experiences?
�
DS: Admittedly, to write the first draft of Sex, Life, & Hannah I took something like 38 journal entries and edited them, which mostly consisted of changing names that would be incriminating. This was 2003. Long before I had a true vision for the story or the idea to make it into a four-volume chick lit series. �Luckily, I found a great editor that helped me figure out a plan, and since then the characters and storylines have taken on a life of their own and have very little to do with their journal entry roots. �

2.�Was there a particular book or author that inspired you to write this book series?
�
DS: I watched a couple of seasons of Sex and The City and then I read the book, and was blown away at how candidly the women were talking about sex. They weren't just sex objects, or experiencing sex in some na�ve way. They were going through real emotions and discussing sex and relationships on a both a physical and philosophical level. That's how me and my friends discussed sex and relationships. That's how I wanted to write
�
3.�Hannah's life involves a cast of very colorful characters, and you delve almost as deeply into their lives as you do into Hannah's, what compelled you to write the series as more of an ensemble piece?
�
DS: The friendships in the books are as important as the friendships we have in our twenties when we're still single and relying on those two, three, four closest people to be our support group every step of the way. Hannah's journey to finding "The One" and figuring out who she is, is not just going on in her head, it's being experienced by her friends and her friends' experiences are also shaping her journey. Besides, those characters bring a little comedic relief. Chick lit is supposed to have those romantic comedy elements.

4. Some reviewers have said that the way you write these books is almost T.M.I. Are you trying to shock readers, or is there a different reason for some of the explicit content?
�
DS: The pacing of these books is fast, similar to a soap opera, so I have to think up a lot of twists and turns for each character. That's part of the fun for me, but it also means that the storylines can get pretty scandalous. I'm sure it's a little T.M.I. for some, but it all serves a purpose, it's not just there for shock value.
�
5. You've said that the fourth book, the Autumn Season will be the last book in the Sex, Life, & Hannah series. Hannah has had a very turbulent love life. Have you already decided who Hannah will end up with?
�
DS: I've outlined a lot of storylines for the fourth and final book in the Sex, Life, & Hannah series, but honestly, I've had a hard time deciding who Hannah will end up with. I've actually thought about endings with all her major love interests: The Ex, Mr. Smyth, Phillip Ferrari, and Christian Knight. I've even thought about ending the series with Hannah finally single, and off on a brand new adventure in a new city. All of these endings appeal to me, but I may have to toss a coin--or two.�

Dorota Skrzypek�was born in Poland, grew-up in Canada, and moved to Southern California in 1997. After many years of flying airplanes, designing airports, and exploring the world, she decided to focus on writing fiction.�

My Fave of All 3 Books

Just when you think Sex, Life & Hannah can't get better, it does. This is the BEST one yet and definitely a page turner--OK, I'll admit I was up all night reading this one, too. When is #4 coming? I need to know what's going to happen. If you haven't read #1 and #2, you really need to to keep up with who's who and the history of the characters--the cool thing is Dorota does rehash the old stuff so you don't have to go back and re-read just to remember the play-by-play of each character. Amazon doesn't have enough stars for this one...really!

The adventure continues, it makes you wonder...

..What kind of life this Author is living. Am I bad person if I want to sabotage Hannah's hopes at happiness and stability so I can continue feeling superior? The dialogue and one liners from the character Jack are my favourite part. Seriously
truthful blunt and grounding even when it's hard to hear.
The set made great christmas presents to 17yr old girl who loves it now and to a 45 year old who "remembers when".
